Uncle Garth

Although our visits were spread out through the years, they were special. A gentle soul with a kind heart. I will miss him and cherish our times together.

A Kind Man

I only remember meeting Great Uncle Garth once when I was very young, but I remember how kind he was. I remember at Great Aunt Marion’s birthday party where I was playing with the balloon weights. For some reason, I was fascinated by them. Uncle Garth let me take one home with me. It just so happened to be my favorite color too. I kept it for a long time. He didn’t know it, but as a kid with not a lot of family, it meant the world to me.
My mom has told me so many wonderful stories about this truly great man. I am glad he got to live a long life. I don’t know how much my words will help, but I just wanted his family to know that others saw just how kind he was.
