William J. Becker, 79, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home in Burlington, KY. He worked at Signode for many years and then as a Tax Examiner with the IRS for over 20 years before his retirement. Bill was a Marine Veteran who served in the Vietnam War as well as a member of the Kentucky National Guard, receiving accolades for his service. He enjoyed bowling with fellow members of the Newport Elks and was an avid deer hunter. Each year, Bill and his family took vacations to the mountains or to the beach. Family meals, laughter, and memories were made and cherished each time they were together. Bill loved spending time with his children and grandchildren at practices, games, and competitions. His joy at watching them succeed was evident in the hugs he gave. He was so proud of each of them. Laughter, joy, and strength followed him wherever he went.
Bill never met a stranger and valued the friendships he made over the years. He had a heart of gold and the mindset of a warrior. Bill continued to live life to the fullest despite a diagnosis that would make most people slow down. As his health deteriorated, Bill never gave up the battle to stay with his family until the Lord called him home.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years Sue Becker, daughter Jennifer Becker, daughter Sara (Lance) Blincoe and son Tony (Tina) Becker. Also surviving are grandchildren Ethan, Logan, Ella, Nick, Christian, Bailey and Briana. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 9am to 11am with service to follow at Linnemann Funeral Homes, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Entombment of cremains with Military Honors will follow at St Mary’s Cemetery in Ft Mitchell. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, 9825 Kenwood Rd, Blue Ash, Ohio 45242. Online condolences can be made at www.linnemannfuneralhomes.com.
