Mary Teresa (nee: Espohl) Callahan
Mary (nee: Espohl) Callahan, 83, of Villa Hills, KY, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family. Mary’s greatest joy and priority in life was her family. She was caring and nurturing to her friends and family, especially in their times of need. Her faith was important to her as well. She prayed the rosary everyday and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 40 years. She enjoyed being an accomplished bridge and card player. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Callahan; her daughter, Beverly Lubbers; her siblings, Naomi Ruth, Frank Espohl, and Margie Tullis. Mary is survived by her children: Michael Callahan, DVM of Amelia, OH, Mary Beth (Jerry) Endicott of Villa Hills, KY, and Patty (Dan) Schneider of Edgewood, KY; her son-in-law, David Lubbers of Villa Hills, KY; and her sisters, Helen Glaza of Covington, KY and Lu Ann (Bill) Schawe of Taylor Mill, KY. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Erin (Kris) Karwisch, Kevin Lubbers, Eric, Kristen and Adam Schneider; and her great-grandson, Max Karwisch. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 4:30PM-7:30PM at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 12:00PM at St. Joseph in Crescent Springs, KY with burial to follow at St. Stephen Cemetery in Ft. Thomas, KY. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph School, 2474 Lorraine Ave. Crescent Springs, KY or to a Charity of Donor’s Choice.
