A Letter from Heaven

When tomorrow starts without me,
and I’m not here to see,
If the sun should rise and find your
eyes, filled with tears for me.

I wish so much you wouldn’t cry,
the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
we didn’t get to say.

I know how much you love me,
as much as I love you,
And each time you think of me,
I know you’ll miss me too.

When tomorrow starts without me,
don’t think we’re far apart,
for every time you think of me,
I’m right here in your heart.

What a beautiful, young, brilliant life taken too soon.

It saddens me to hear of such a loss, a former CHS student who had so much potential. Brittany and my youngest son, Codey Jones became friends during their middle school days. She was always a familiar face amongst his group of friends. By the time they were in high school I was working at Conner High School, so I got to know Brittany even better. She would often stop in my office to chat, vent or simply kill time. We had many great discussions, especially once she knew she was expecting “Baby Ava”. She was a very proud and good mom, despite the fact that she herself was a very young teen. She shared photos and stories with me almost daily and occasionally would even bring “Baby Ava” to visit just so I could see her growth and progress. I know Brittany loved her family dearly, I hope there is never a doubt. Cherish and hold onto the “happy” Brittany memories and she will always be with you, now watching over you. Find comfort in the fact that she is no longer struggling, her war is over and she is finally at peace, mentally, emotionally and physically. Let her bright smile continue to sparkle within the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
Sent with sincere sympathy,
Dawn Hagedorn (aka Ms. Jones)
