Gail Roper

Gail Roper, 72, entered eternal life on Monday, January 30, 2017 in Cincinnati, OH. Gail, a devoted Mother and Grandmother,  married John Roper August 1, 1975 and was married for 35 years until his passing in 2010. .  A faithful employee of Ford Motor Company for more than 30 years, she spent the last 4 years of her retirement caring for her 3 young grandchildren for daily daycare.  It wasn’t uncommon to see Gail piddling in one of her gardens or shopping at a local store. Both activities  she had a knack and passion. Gail was also a lover of music, with some of her favorite artists being Michael Jackson, Deon Warwick, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, and Luther Vandross. Gail was a lover of fashion and had a unique sense of style when it came to handbags, shoes, broaches, and earrings. Gail loved her family immensely and enjoyed the many family gatherings she was blessed to be apart of for many years.

Gail had a wonderful spirit that was both giving and Kind and her that legacy and spirit will live for many generations through all the people to whom she loved and adored.  She was preceded in passing by her husband John Roper, sister Aretha Jamison, brother Willard Dumas and her parents Andrew Gray and Sallie Dumas.  Gail will be dearly missed by her daughters: Yvette (Richard) Eberhart, Tiffney (Juan) Evans, twin daughters Latasha (Benjamin) Rosich and Latisha (Josef) Eversmann; children through marriage: Lavina, Bonita, and Perry Roper; grandchildren: Darius, Brian, Breon, Lazarus, Trinity, Emerson, August, and Lukas;her sisters: Marqua Hackett, Linda Dumas, Audrey Dumas, Godlynn “G” Dumas; brothers: Rev. Dwight, Dale, James, and Darryl Dumas; an abundance of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
