Bernard C. Burkhardt

Bernard C. Burkhardt, 81, of Covington, KY, passed away Sunday September 25, 2016 at his residence. Bernie was a newspaper mailer for the Times Star, the Kentucky Post, and the Cincinnati Enquirer. He was a member of the Mother of God Church Choir and Choral Group for 50 years, he sang in the Cathedral Choir for 15 years, was a member of Mother of God Church, a Graduate of Latin School in 1951, and he truly enjoyed traveling, especially his trips to Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Burkhardt; his brother, Christian Burkhardt Jr.; his son, Tom Guisinger; and his grandson, Michael Guisinger. He is survived by his children, Donald (Linda) Guisinger of Athens, OH, Tim (Cheryl) Guisinger of Palm Coast, FL, David Guisinger of Covington, KY, and Bettie (Jim) Rabe of Covington, KY; and his siblings, Diana Broering of Bellevue, KY, and Connie (Dan) Burns of Melbourne, KY. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Saturday October 1^st, 2016 from 11:00AM-12:00PM at Mother of God Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00PM at the church. Burial at Mother of God Cemetery.
