Edward S. Manogue
Edward S. Manogue, 92, of Ryland, KY, died peacefully on July 27, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Edgewood. Ed proudly served as a bomber pilot in the United States Air Force during World War II and brought his crew home safely after flying 35 missions in B-17s and B-24s, including D-Day. He was awarded a Purple Heart, the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with four oak leaf clusters. Taking over his father’s law firm together with his brother, Roy Jr., he was a practicing attorney at Manogue & Manogue for 47 years. Ed was an avid golfer and enjoyed his beloved Ryland Lakes Country Club where he won several club championships. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Ann Coffey Manogue; a son, Kirk (Barbara) Manogue of Sea Cliff, NY; two daughters, Corinne (Tevian Dray) Manogue of Corvallis, OR; Cynthia (David) Crane of Charlotte, NC; and seven grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
