Margaret Husted
RABBIT HASH – Margaret Jean Walden Husted, 96, of Rabbit Hash, formerly of Indianapolis, died Saturday, July 11, at the home of her daughter.
She was a department head for L.S. Ayres Department Store, president of Propylacum, member of Delta Gamma Alumni, Alpha Mu Latreian, Benton House Association, Catherine Merrill Literary Club, Irvington Art League, Irvington Dramatic and Irvington Dancing clubs, board member of Indianapolis Children’s Bureau, trustee of the Irvington Historical Landmarks Foundation, and fundraising volunteer for Community Hospital in Indianapolis.
Her husband, Ralph W. Husted, died previously.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Husted Burleigh of Rabbit Hash; son, David W. Husted of Napoleon, Ind., seven grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, with Mass of Christian Burial following 11 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Walton. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ind. Linnemann Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
