Zachary Kertis

Florence – Zachary Edward Kertis, age 18, died suddenly of natural causes January 27th at his dorm room at the University of Kentucky. He was a graduate of Ryle High School and an Eagle Scout. He is survived by his parents Michael Edward and Ruth Layne Kertis of Florence; 2 brothers Stephen Kertis of Nashville, Tenn. and Matthew Kertis of Florence; maternal grandparents Clifford and Evelyn Layne of Nottingham, PA; paternal grandparents Edward and Anne Kertis of Thornton , PA, and a large group of caring and devoted family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday February 2nd at Linnemann Funeral Home, in Burlington, KY 4pm ??” 8pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 3rd at 12noon at Faith Community United Methodist Church in Independence, KY. Interment will be at Burlington Cemetery.
