Donald Sassin

ERLANGER – Donald R. “Donnie” Sassin, 54, died June 5 at St. Elizabeth Florence.

He was a self-employed truck driver, a member of Teamsters Local 100, the Hobo Club of Ludlow and friend to many at the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 20, Elsmere.

His son, Donald “Ricky” Sassin, died previously.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Sassin; father, Charles Sassin of Covington; sons, David Sassin of Highland Heights and Dominic Sassin of Petersburg; daughter, Christina Lail of Petersburg; brother, Rick Sassin of Erlanger; sisters, Nancy Morrison of Lakeland, Fla., Cynthia Denton of Walton and Sandra Baggett of Hebron; step-brother, Fred Marksberry of Taylor Mill; step-sister, Diane Kmit of Alexandria and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, June 10, at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 10, at Mary Queen of Heaven Church. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
