John Chambers
John D. Chambers Sr, 86, passed away on Sunday, January 23rd at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. Mr. Chambers was the roundhouse foreman for Norfolk Southern Railroad, a lifelong member of Erlanger United Methodist Church, a member of the Methodist Men at Erlanger United Methodist, a Kentucky Colonel, and the consummate husband and father. Mr. Chambers was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Chambers. He is survived by his sons, John Chambers Jr. (Patty) of Maineville, OH, Bill Chambers (Mary Jo) of Verona, George Chambers of Edgewood, and Michael Chambers (Pam) of Walton. He is also survived by his sisters, Greta Brown of Crestview Hills, and Jean Edwards of Chattanooga, TN. He is survived also by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers are suggested to: St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017 or Erlanger United Methodist Church, 31 Commonwealth Avenue, Erlanger, KY 41018. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 26th from 4-7 PM at Linnemann in Erlanger. The funeral service will be held at Erlanger United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 27th at 10:30 AM.
