Marilyn Thiel

VILLA HILLS Sister Marilyn Thiel, OSB, died peacefully Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood at age 79.

A Benedictine sister for over 58 years, Sr. Marilyn served as teacher, organist, activity director, director of religious

education and pastoral care director. Her brother Charles preceded her in death. Sr. Marilyn is survived by her brothers

David (Melodie) of Edgewood, KY, Michael (Sylvia) of Loveland, OH, Steve (Sheryl) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sisters Linda

Greis (John) of Monticello, FL, Sandy Whisner (Tom) of Winter Park, FL and Rita Thiel of Ocracoke, NC; cousin Elaine

Cetrulo and many nieces and nephews. Vigil service will be held at 7:30 pm, Monday, December 26 and the Mass of

Christian Burial at 5:20 pm, Tuesday, December 27 at St. Walburg Monastery. Memorials are suggested to St. Walburg
