Donald Colcun

Don Colcun, age 71 of Covington, Kentucky passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth in Fort Thomas on August 2. Don was born October 5 1940 in Gary, Indiana and spent his life in California, Colorado, Kansas and Kentucky. He was a talented and successful finance professional in the Savings & Loan industry for most of his career, spending his final working years with the Small Business Administration. Don was proud of his role in assisting small businesses and individuals in their pursuit of financial success and stability.

Don was a wonderful father and provider and is survived by his wife Anne Gallagher, daughter Sheri Trumpfheller, Grandchildren Patrick and Shannon Trumpfheller, step-children A.J. Gallagher-Howard, Brian Gallagher-Howard, Lori Thompson, Tami Thompson and Tom Thompson. Don relished spending time with his children and grandchildren, enjoying the ups and downs of the young people in his life while never failing to support them in countless ways both large and small.

Don is fondly remembered for his generosity, wicked sense of humor, dazzling smile and profound wit. He was a truly good man and we are blessed to have had him for these 71 years.

The memorial service for Don will be held Saturday, August 4th at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger, Kentucky, 3pm.
