Helen Kruer

Helen Laura “Tewes” Kruer, 89, of Edgewood, KY peacefully passed away Saturday October 6, 2012 at Madonna Manor. She had called St. Charles Lodge her home for the past 14 years. She was a 1942 graduate of Villa Madonna Academy, a homemaker and a member of St. Pius X Church in Edgewood. Helen was very involved during her life with Edgewood and Barrington Woods Homemakers Clubs; St. Pius X Church, Confraternity of Christian Mothers; Redwood School volunteer, and volunteered with many other charitable and civic organizations. She was also an avid bowler, golfer, craft enthusiast, gardener, and lifelong Red’s fan. Helen is survived by her children Thomas Richard Kruer, James Robert Kruer, John Michael Kruer, Diane Kruer, Carol Kruer Quill, Joyce Kruer Adams, her sister Louise Gertrude Orzali, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Henry Kruer in 1996. A Visitation will be held Friday October 12, 2012 10am until 11:30am at St. Pius X Church. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the visitation and begin at 11:30am at the church. Entombment will be in St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum in Ft. Mitchell, KY. Memorials can be sent to St. Pius X Church.
