Freida Hunley

Freida Denise Hunley, age 50, from Burlington, Kentucky, went to her heavenly home on October 9, 2012 after her courageous battle with cancer. She spent her last days and passed away in the home that she loved. She loved her church family, Burlington Baptist, her family, her friends and neighbors. She had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Mike Palmer and Dr. Heather Lucas. She loved working in her flower garden and enjoyed cooking and having family, friends, and neighbors over to eat. She is preceded in death by grandparents, survived by her loving husband, David, and two sons, Jonathan and Matthew and daughter-in-law, Johna, mother and step-father, Judy and Harold Finley of Rutledge, TN; stepsister, Candy and stepbrother, Mont, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Jearl and Charlotte Hunley of Columbus, MS; Aunt Sue and Uncle Gene Inzer of Atlanta; two cousins, Jason Inzer and family of Connecticut, and Lindsay Seay and family of Winter Park, Florida; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Melanie and Trey Freeman of Columbus, MS; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Rev. Terry and Lorrie Hunley of Jackson, TN, two nephews, Daniel Hunley and Curry Freeman, and two nieces, Ashton Hunley and Sarah Freeman.

Special thanks to her many friends who helped with her care and to Hospice of Bluegrass.

A celebration of life will be at Burlington Baptist Church on Friday, October 12, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at Burlington Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday.
