Bob Zander
Ernest “Bob” Zander, 89, of Independence, passed away Sunday, December 8th, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. He was a veteran of the Marines during World War II on the Pacific front, he had a passion for serving as a volunteer firefighter for the Mason Ohio Volunteer Fire Department, and he was a longtime employee Litton Industries. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mattie Zander. Survivors include his wife, Dortha Zander of Independence; his sons, Dave (Marcy) Zander of Mason, OH, and Allen (Kashawna) White of Cheyenne, WY; and his daughter, Dawn Mishler of Independence, KY. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jake and Faith White. Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 12th, 2013 from 10:00AM-11:00PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger. A service will follow the visitation at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial on Thursday December 12th at 1PM at Rose Hill Cemetery 171 S. Mason Montgomery Rd, Mason, OH.
