David Marshall

David Samuel Marshall, 31, of Erlanger, KY passed away on Saturday February 8, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. David suffered with drug addiction for many years. He had recently found a new life of commitment and real joy! He had been on recovery for seven months and working with his uncle in construction. He was discovering his skills in his work and so very proud. David was talented and blessed with an overabundant sense of humor. As a four year old eager football player, he began as a water-boy for the outstanding Blackhawks of Boone County. In his last season, he was MVP making field goals and numerous extra points. One of his favorite memories. He attended school in the Erlanger-Elsmere School District. He went to Miles Elementary, Tichenor Middle School, and Lloyd Memorial High School. He did later obtain his GED. David has always had a strong support group including his parents, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and many many friends. David had a big heart, sharing smiles and laughter and making new friends. David’s goal was to continue on the straight life and eventually develop improved relationships especially with his children Faith Sahara Marshall(13), Logan Riley Sorrell(8), Noah Shelton Marshall(7), and David Samuel Marshall Jr.(6). David got right with his Lord and Savior and was truly an overcomer. He is also survived by his parents David “Duck” Marshall and Merele Diane Marshall, four sisters Carey Leighann Berkemeier, Amber Tomlinson (John), Jennifer Goodenough (Michael), and Patricia McCoy (Brion), grandmothers Mary Mueller and Mary Grider (Bill). A Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 12, 2014 4pm until 9pm at Lakeside Christian Church. The Funeral Service will be held the following day at 10am at the church.
