James Rice

UNION- James R. Rice Jr., 90 passed away Tuesday May 27th at St Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood KY. He worked as a truck driver, dairy farmer and was a lifelong devoted Catholic. His passions in life were making and giving rosaries and watching his kids and grandkids race at Florence Speedway. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Rice in January 2013. Survivors include sons James III (Pam), Jack (Rene), Joe (Julie), Jerry (Robin), daughters Joyce Eads, Sara (Wayne) Isaacs, Jenny Rice, Junetta Weltzer, Jeanne (Dave) Swikert, Jill (Turner) Jordan and Jamie (Dan) Rudolph. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday June 3rd from 5 to 8pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 5876 Veterans Way Burlington KY 41005. A second visitation will be held Wednesday June 4th from 11am with a rosary service at 11:30 followed by mass at 12noon at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
