Vera Mae Daniel

Obituary
Condolences

Vera Mae Daniel, 98, of Villa Spring, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026. Born on April 15, 1928, in Florence, Kentucky, Vera lived a long and fulfilling life centered on family, faith, music, and simple joys.

A lifelong Northern Kentuckian, Vera was raised in Florence and graduated from Newport High School with the Class of 1947. Following high school, she worked as a secretary for Robert Beck and Company before dedicating herself to raising her family as a homemaker.

Vera was known as a strong and resilient woman who never asked for much. Though naturally quiet and reserved, she possessed a steadfast spirit and a deep love for those closest to her. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—watching a good television show, tending to flowers, listening to birds sing, and spending time in Florida, a place she dearly loved.

Music was one of Vera’s greatest passions. She loved to sing and shared her talent through participation in barbershop quartets, Christian chorales, and the Bell Chords. Her voice and love of music brought joy not only to herself but also to those around her throughout the years.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Claud and Flora Craven; her beloved son, Michael Bush; her husband; Perry Louis Daniel and her brother, Donald Craven.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin (Rowena) Bush and Eric (Kathy) Daniel; daughter-in-law, Barbara Bush; sister, Donna Roberts; brother, Howard (Jacquita) Craven; grandchildren, Joel (Shannon) Kaye, Stacey (Phil) Lewis, Monique (Joe) Gainey, Seth (Scott) Cody, Craig (Sarah) Bush, Melissa Henry, Misty Campbell, Tricia Couch, and Jennifer (Jamey) Young; and numerous great-grandchildren including Emma, Ethan, and Ezra Kaye; Camden Sagues; Rilyn, Audra, and Brielle Gainey; Cal and Clark Bush; Marlee and Bennett Henry; Dale and Dylan Campbell; Kadie and Dalton Adams; Nate, Luke, and Grace Couch; and Brianna and Lilly Parson.

A memorial visitation for Vera will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 11:00AM until time of service at 12:30PM at Burlington Baptist Church 3031 Washington St, Burlington, KY 41005.
