Tributes
Judy Arthur, 77, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on May 14, 1948, in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Judy was raised in Erlanger, Kentucky, where she formed lifelong friendships and built the strong foundation of faith and family that guided her life. She graduated from Lloyd High School in 1966 and went on to attend Eastern Kentucky University, where she met the love of her life, Mike. They shared nearly 57 years of marriage — a partnership rooted in faith, laughter, and unwavering devotion to their family.
Judy treasured her many dear friends from high school, college, and throughout every season of her life. From Northern Kentucky to EKU to Naples, everywhere she went, she made a friend. She was blessed with friendships that spanned decades — the kind of friends who knew every chapter of her story and walked beside her through each one. Filled with laughter, loyalty, and cherished yearly trips together, those friendships were a constant source of joy and strength in her life.
She was the proud mother of Bill (Tish), Brad (Kristi), and Jon (Bethanne), and the devoted grandmother of Erin, Jenna, Quin, Alex, Sydney, Paige, and Michael. She attended every game, performance, and milestone — always cheering, always believing.
Judy loved shopping — especially taking her children and grandchildren on special shopping trips that became memories in themselves. She had a creative spirit and spent countless hours painting and doing arts and crafts with her grandchildren. An avid baker, she was always trying new recipes for her family to enjoy, filling her home with warmth, laughter, and something sweet in the oven. She also had a gift for words and loved writing poems for her friends and family, often capturing her love for them in ways only she could.
Judy will be remembered first for her smile. It was constant. It made you feel welcome and important. So many of her sons’ friends grew up feeling like she was a second mom to them. That was her gift. When you were with Judy, you felt at home — and she made you feel like a king.
For more than 25 years, she volunteered at Catholic Social Services and St. Henry, serving others with quiet generosity and deep faith. Her joyful spirit and open heart left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Mike; her sons Bill, Brad, and Jon; her cherished grandchildren; and her brother, Ron Margolies (Maureen) as well as her many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Helen Margolies and her sister Patty Works.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28th at St. Henry Church, with visitation from 9:00–11:00 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Life will follow at St. Henry District High School.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to two causes close to her heart: Mary Rose Mission and Parish Kitchen.
