Kylie Ann Anderson

Kylie Story
Obituary
Condolences

Kylie Ann Anderson, 26, of Independence, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 20, 2026, at her residence.

Born on March 5, 1999, to Angi and Ty Anderson. A 2017 graduate of Boone County High School, Kylie was a multi-sport athlete, playing soccer and basketball throughout her life. Never one to shy away from a challenge, during her senior and only year of track, she earned a spot at the state championship.

Kylie continued her academic and athletic career at Thomas More College, graduating in 2021 with her bachelor’s degree in physics. While at Thomas More, she played both soccer and basketball and was a proud member of the women’s basketball team that captured a national championship.

Kylie dedicated more than four years to Reynolds and Reynolds, where she worked as an Implementation Partner. She was known for her intelligence, drive, and ability to connect with anyone she met.

An old soul in every sense, Kylie carried wisdom beyond her years, balanced by a bold and independent spirit all her own. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—crocheting, cooking, gardening, and gathering with family and friends. Whether playing on the soccer field, officiating as a U.S. Soccer Federation referee, enjoying a spirited game of cornhole or darts, she embraced life fully and on her own terms.

Her happiest days were those spent at the cabin in Tennessee, fishing by the water with her Papaw and building a lifetime of special memories.

She had a heart of gold, a brilliant mind and a smile that could light up any room. She could talk to anyone. She was a role model to her siblings and one of her greatest joys was being KyKy to her sweet niece, Haisley.  She was loved deeply by all who knew her; simply put, everybody loved Kylie.

She was preceded in death by grandfathers: Michael Pike, Ronald Anderson and John Clare, Jr.; and grandparents, Frank “Grandshot” and Pat Anderson.

Kylie is survived by her parents, Ty and Angi Anderson; siblings: Kayla, Kelsie and Kellen Anderson; niece, Haisley Anderson; grandmothers, Pat “Mimi” Pike; Martha “Nee Nee” Pike; aunts: Carla (Deandre) Mitchell; Jennifer (Scott) Fields; Melinda Clare and Niki (Justin) Lunsford; uncles, Dustin (Emily) Pike and Jared (Italia) Pike; cousins: Mackenzie, Anderson and Maleiah Mitchell; Mason and Presley Fields; Jalyn, Allie and Chase Lunsford; Dominic and Olive Pike; Aria and Josh Pike; as well as other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery in Florence, KY.

Deepest Condolences

Kylie and I played soccer together on Kings when I was in seventh grade. I was new to the team and didn’t really know any of the girls, but as a defender, close to the goal, Kylie and I got close really quick. Now 27, the memories have became vague, but one thing I can always thank her and remember her for is never letting me be alone on that team. She truly was the one friend I had that season and I will always be so grateful for that. At an age where you’re so uncertain about yourself, I knew for certain she was my friend. Kylie and I briefly stayed in touch here and there as years came and went, as my dad coached soccer and saw her frequently and I actually ended up attending cosmetology school with her younger sister, Kayla, followed by working with her at our first salon outside of hair school. Kayla and I instantly bonded over the love we have for her sister, and that will never change. I send my deepest condolences to her and her family at this time, and I hope that this small story sheds a glimmer of the kind of person Kylie was, bright, caring, and someone you can always lean on.

Prayers,
Lexi Taylor

Sending my DEEPEST condolences to the Anderson Family

To the family of Kylie, I want to send my DEEPEST condolences. I want to personally thank Mr. and Mrs. Anderson for Kylie being in my daughter (Jaelyn) life. Didn’t know her until her and J went to Boone County together and saw how soft hearted she was but a BOSS on the court, she inspired J in many ways and I will forever be grateful for her. Kylie may not be here physically but the memories will DEFINITELY live on, due to her personality, her athleticism and how she lived her life. Rest easy Kylie 🙏🏾💯🙏🏾💯🙏🏾💯

With all my love and prayers

Hey Angie, I wanted to reach out and send you and your family all of my love and prayers. I am absolutely heartbroken by the lost of Kylie. It’s so hard to process when we lose someone so young and is full of life and happiness. She was absolutely wonderful and I always adored her kindness and ambition. She was a role model to so many and a leader for your other children. I have nothing but great things to say about her and you all. I truly loved talking to her and she always would make it a priority to speak to us at any gathering and make others feel welcome and loved. Kylie was such a special part to the family and she will be missed dearly. Part of the reason she was so great, is because of you and your unconditional unending love for your family. You are an amazing mother in so many ways. Your children shine bright. I truly feel your pain, I know your (and many others’) heart is broken and will never be fully repaired. There are no words anyone can say to take the pain away, but know that we are all here for you during this time. When it is hard to walk and be a part of life again, know that you are a gift to your other children, Ty, and mom. They will need you as well. Your love for them will help stitch up the hole in their heart. It’s unbearable to think of a life time without her beautiful soul. She loved all of you and would want nothing but the best. With love and lots of prayers, I wish you my condolences.
