Julia “Julie” Ann Moses Spaw

Obituary
Condolences

Julia “Julie” Ann Moses Spaw, 73, of Mason, OH, formerly of Erlanger, KY, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at Central Park Assisted Living in Mason, Ohio.

Julie was born on June 29, 1952, in Covington, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Garnett R. and Genevieve Moses. She grew up surrounded by family, sharing a close bond with her siblings and treasuring those early years together. Though relationships evolved over time, Julie always remained grateful for those shared moments and memories.

A proud graduate of Dixie Heights High School, Class of 1970, Julie was musically inclined and played the clarinet in the school band. She attended Latonia Baptist Church, where her faith and community connections were nurtured during her youth.

Julie devoted 24 years of her professional life to Fidelity Financial Investments, working in account management. Her career reflected a lifelong commitment to the banking and financial services industry, where she was respected for her reliability, attention to detail, and dedication.

Julie possessed a wonderfully dry, sarcastic sense of humor that those closest to her came to cherish. She found great joy in bowling, a passion she shared with her beloved husband, Patrick “Pat” Spaw. Together, they traveled across the country competing in bowling tournaments and celebrated numerous victories along the way.

An enthusiastic sports fan, Julie faithfully supported UK Basketball, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Cincinnati Bengals, holding season tickets for many years. She also treasured trips to Myrtle Beach with her parents and Pat. The holidays, particularly Thanksgiving and Christmas, were deeply meaningful to Julie and were always a special time for the Moses family.

Julie missed her husband Pat dearly, and life was never quite the same following his passing and the loss of her mother. In later years, she became more reserved, though her love for family and the memories she held close never faded.

Julie was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick “Pat” Spaw; her parents, Garnett and Genevieve Moses and her parent-in-laws, Mae and Harold Spaw; and her sibling-in-laws, Connie Spaw, Jeff Junker, Mildred Arnold, and Linda Elstun.

She is survived by her brothers, Garnett (Fran) Moses and Larry Moses; her nephews, Scott (Maygon) Moses, Brett (Cary) Moses, Justin (Jessica) Moses, and Darren Moses; her niece, Kayla (Matt) Congleton; her in-laws, Hal (Carol) Spaw, Jim, Spaw, Bridget Junker, Jackie Spaw, and Ray Arnold; and numerous other loving family members.

A brief visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, 3227 Dixie Highway Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
