Robert Edwards

Robert “Bob” John Edwards, 91, of Crestview Hills, KY, passed away on Wednesday December 17th, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family. He graduated from Beechwood High School in 1941 and enlisted in the Army Air Corp. He also was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the 449th Bomber Group Association, a former member of Summit Hills Country Club, and he was an ardent basketball player and golfer. Bob worked his way up from sales with M.J. Daly and retired as President of KDI Corporation. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Edwards and his grandson, Jeffrey Vieth. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Martha Hoppenjans Edwards of Crestview Hills; his daughters, Lynn (Denny) Vieth of Crestview Hills, Jan (Mark) Gehring of Edgewood, and Sherry (Leonard) Vance of Louisville; and his son, Rick (Jody) Edwards of Union. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday December 20th, 2014 from 10:00AM-12:00PM at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Edgewood.
