Tributes
Sharon K. McGruder (née Morley) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky.
Sharon worked for many years as a secretary with Tri-State Theatre Service, Inc. She had a creative spirit and a love for crafting, especially knitting and sewing, and she took great joy in cooking and baking. Her New York–style cheesecakes, often filled with a variety of flavors, were family favorites.
Sharon had a zest for life and kept herself busy with the things that brought her joy. She loved dancing and was a passionate traveler. She enjoyed exploring the United States and experiencing new places. But more than anything, Sharon treasured time spent with her family and friends, whether it was a simple lunch outing or a lively gathering.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian and Mary Kathrine Morley; and husband; Bill McGruder.
Sharon is survived by her loving children, Mac (Melissa) McGruder and Katie Unterreiner; grandchildren: Tabitha, Murphy, Adrian, Eleanor, Hank and Samantha; great-grandchildren: Jameson, Killian and Patrick; sister, Chris Vesper; as well as nieces, nephews and many other family members whom she was close with.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes, 30 Commonwealth Ave., Erlanger, KY 41018. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, 10:00 AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 10272 US-42, Union, KY 41091.
