Peggy J. Brinkman

Obituary
Condolences

Peggy Joyce Brinkman, 83, of Villa Hills, KY, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, at Seasons of Alexandria.

Born in Covington, KY, on December 22, 1941, Peggy was the oldest of five children of the late George and Dorothy Justice. She grew up in Covington, attended St. Mary’s Grade School—where she met her future husband, Paul—and later graduated from LaSalette Academy. In 1959, Peggy married Paul E. Brinkman, and together they raised five daughters in Villa Hills, KY.

Peggy devoted her life to being a homemaker and, above all, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She embraced her role as “the ultimate mom,” a devoted caretaker who not only raised her daughters with love and faith but also helped nurture her grandchildren. Her home was always warm and welcoming, beautifully decorated for every season and holiday.

Peggy cherished family trips to Cumberland Falls, Gatlinburg, and New Orleans, but her greatest joy was the beach—especially Siesta Key, where she and Paul spent many memorable May vacations collecting shells and enjoying the peace of the ocean breeze and smell of saltwater. After Paul’s passing in 2001, Peggy found new strength and independence, continuing traditions and embracing activities once shared with him.

Though naturally introverted, Peggy’s gentle spirit shone brightly in her later years. She became a social presence at the nursing home, bringing warmth and kindness to those around her. She was a parishioner of Mary Queen of Heaven and the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, where she lived her Catholic faith with devotion.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul E. Brinkman, and her parents, George and Dorothy Justice.

Peggy is survived by her five daughters: Terri (Steve) Beuttel, Colleen (Allen) Carter, Amy (Mel) Goss, Jennifer Lipps, and Christina Brinkman; her siblings George (Lois) Justice, Gary (Martina) Justice, Thomas (Karen) Justice, and Angie (John) Steffen; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 10:00–11:00 AM at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Peggy will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

RIP Aunt Peg

I was saddened to hear of Aunt Peggys passing. As a young girl, I idolized her, and thought her to be the most beautiful and glamorous woman in the world.
I am glad she’s back in Uncle Pauls arms now, they were such a lovely couple with an amazing family.

RIP Aunt Peggy

thinking of you today, Terri

so sorry Teri to hear about the passing of your mother. I know how special she was to you and you were especially special to her. I’m sending hugs and prayers your way I enjoyed my visit with her at the home with Sally. She was a breath of fresh air just like you are.
