Dusten “Kaleb” Fowee

Obituary
Condolences

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dusten Kaleb Fowee, age 21 of Elsmere, Kentucky who was called home to Heaven on August 2, 2025.

Kaleb was a junior in college at NKU going into his senior year. He was pursuing a career in cybersecurity but recently discovered that he had a desire to help people in some way, but he wasn’t quite sure what that was going to be just yet. Kaleb loved playing video games with his friends and cousins and just simply being with friends and family. Kaleb excelled throughout his years in school earning him an almost full ride to NKU. If Kaleb wasn’t going to school or with friends, he was most likely working at Dewey’s Pizza creating his own custom masterpieces. Kaleb was a member of New Banklick Baptist Church in Walton KY where he was involved for many years. He was one of the smartest people we knew and quite literally had knowledge on any given topic. He knew countless facts about history, current events, science and math. Not only was he incredibly intelligent, but he had the biggest heart. Kaleb was kind to every single person that crossed his path. He treated everyone with respect regardless of the kind of person they were. Kaleb was always there to lend a helping hand and an ear to listen. He took care of his friends and family and anyone else in his circle. Kaleb was witty and could make any person laugh. He had a contagious smile and is often described by peers as an “old soul” who didn’t belong to this generation. Kaleb was truly one of a kind that can never be replaced. We ask that you continue to keep Kaleb’s memory alive by practicing kindness and giving others grace even when it’s hard because that’s what Kaleb would do.

Kaleb is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harry Thomas Fowee III and Kathi Anne Fowee, as well as, Maureen Boh (Mamaw Reen).

He is survived by his loving parents, Dusten and Debra Fowee; his sister, Kylie (Royce) McGee; his maternal grandparents, Arthetta and Anthony Evans; his aunts and uncles, Anthony Evans (Stephanie) Jr., Lori (Mark Schlarman) Evans, and Tom (Kristie) Fowee; his cousins, Asa Bass, Kierra McCray, Jerail Morgan, Daron Cotton, Anthony Evans, Joelle Cotton, Harry Fowee V, and Sadie Fowee; and many close friends. All who will miss him dearly.

A visitation for Kaleb will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, Kentucky. The service will immediately follow the visitation at 7:00pm.

In addition to services at the funeral home, a celebration of Kaleb’s life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 beginning at 3:00 in the afternoon (address: 4013 Turkeyfoot Road Erlanger, KY 41018).

To celebrate Kaleb’s spirit, friends and family are encouraged to wear something colorful, or an outfit that reminds you of him.

Memorial contributions in Kalebs honor can be made to; New Banklick Baptist Church at 10719 Banklick Rd, Walton, KY 41094.

Deepest Sympathy

I’m a so deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your son. I never had the pleasure to meet him but my daughter, Sela, worked with him at Dewey’s. He was her favorite
coworker and always had nothing but good things to say about him.
I pray God gives you peace that
surpasses understanding. I’ll be praying for you and your family.

The Johnsons

Dustin,
We are very sorry to hear of the passing of your son. He sounds like a wonderful son. I can’t imagine the profound grief you must be experiencing. It sounds like, for someone so young, he leaves a lasting legacy by believing that the way you treat others is an important part of showing who you are. May you find comfort in the love and memories that you and he shared. Talk about him with others. It keeps him with you. Until you meet again. You are in our prayers.
