Also surviving her is a niece Kara (Dale) Kent and nephews, Aaron (Tracy) Stojkov and Blaise (Kelly) Stojkov
Erika earned a teaching degree at the University of Cincinnati. She taught school for the Cincinnati Public Schools at the elementary grade level for 30 years. She enjoyed the assignment of teaching first grade because she could see the greatest increase of learning in the students.
After teaching school, she worked several full and part-time jobs.
In 1995, she and her husband Jim moved to Northern Kentucky to be closer to Jim’s work.
Her final residence was at the Colonial Heights Independent Living Facility in Florence, Kentucky
Erika had a great interest in other locales and countries of the world. She took trips to Mexico, Africa, and places in the Western United States
Erika was a devoted member of the Community of Faith Presbyterian Church of Crescent Springs, Kentucky. Erika enjoyed the friendships with COF church members, with her coworkers in the teaching profession, with coworkers and the other jobs as well, as her friends at the Colonial Heights.
Her friendliness and smile will be sorely missed!
