Asher Douglas Walker

Obituary
Condolences

Smiles, Side eyes, and snuggles. Three attributes to sum up Asher Douglas Walker’s personality.

With the heaviest of hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Asher Douglas Walker, our little man. Asher passed away on April 4th at 11:10am in the arms of Rachel and the comfort of both parents at home. Asher has forever changed our lives by bringing out the best in both of us.

Firstborn son of Aron and Rachel Walker, Asher Douglas made his entrance into the world at 7:21am on June 10th, 2024. At just under 10 months of age, he was full of personality and a head full of playful hair. Asher loved his outside walks, his jam sessions (lots of music and dancing), reading, and his dogs. Never afraid to speak his mind, Asher was usually the smallest person in the room but knew he was boldly in charge. Ever the people and animal watcher, he loved traveling around and going places with his family. His innocent laughter could light up a room and his smile (coupled with his untamable hair) attracted everyone to him.

Asher was symptom free of his disease until he wasn’t. His world changed on January 21st and was never the same. However, even after his diagnosis of Alper’s Disease, Asher didn’t loose his bold personality. Giving lots of flirtatious smiles to everyone (especially blonde hospital nurses), letting everyone know what he thought about conversations, jamming out to some good tunes, and giving all the cuddly snuggles a little man could share.

Baptized on February 6th of 2025, he was a much loved member of Florence Methodist Church .

Asher is survived by his parents, Aron and Rachel Walker (Walton, KY), maternal Grandparents, Dr. Stephen and Deborah Hinton (Campbellsville, KY), paternal grandparents, Beth and Michael Chambliss (Rising Sun, IN) and Mark and Angie Walker (Ocala, FL). Great-grandmothers, Rita Hinton (maternal, Lexington, KY) and Sue Chambliss (paternal, Plains, GA). Godparents Issac and Korri Thompson (Campbellsville, KY). Multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of the family. All of whom love Asher greatly and will forever cherish memories and time with him.

Services for Asher Douglas will be held on Saturday, April 12th at Florence Methodist Church in Florence, KY. Visitation will be from 1pm to 3:30pm, with the Funeral at 3:30pm, and a Celebration of Life reception to follow in the church gym. Online condolences can be left at www.LinnemannFuneralHomes.com
