Martha Imogene Walters

Martha Imogene Walters, 94, of Independence, KY, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at HighlandSpring of Ft. Thomas, KY.

Martha was a member of the First Christian Church in Covington, KY. She enjoyed travel, crafting, gardening and going out to eat.

Above all, Martha cherished spending time with her family, especially her daughter. Together, they traveled extensively, with trips to the mountains being some of their most treasured moments. Martha’s adventurous spirit led her to visit almost every state in the U.S., creating a lifetime of memories along the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Walters; mother, Allie Elkins; brother, Robert Elkins; and sister, Mabel Isley.

Martha is survived by her loving daughter, Sandra “Sandy” Walters, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of memorial service at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at First Christian Church, 14 W 5^th St., Covington, Ky 41011.
