Rita Rae Boh

Rita Rae Boh (nee Stansel), age 75, of Walton, KY, passed away on February 6, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. She was born on June 29, 1949, in Covington, KY, and was a proud member of the Boone County High School Class of 1967. A longtime Boone County resident, Rita was known for her vibrant personality, love of conversation, and ability to turn any gathering into a celebration.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Georgia Stansel; her first husband, James Baxter; her beloved son, Jonathan “Doogie” Boh; and her brothers, Ralph Stansel Jr., Richard Stansel, and Ronnie Stansel.

Rita is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Richard “Dick” Boh; her loving children, Justin Boh, Shannon (Glen) Schuchart, Carissa (Jack) Montgomery, and Heather (Dave) Albritton; and her dear sister, Ruth (Denny) Kennedy. She was the cherished grandmother of Brandon, Joshua, Austin, Trevor, Emily, Molly, and Colton and a proud great-grandmother to Gracie, Brantley, Tyler, and Kalvin.

Rita had a zest for life and never met a stranger. She loved talking on the phone, sharing stories, and enjoying good times with family and friends. Whether working behind the bar or styling hair at Great Clips, she brought warmth and laughter to everyone she met. She enjoyed smoking, sipping her Seagram’s 7 and Seven-up, and living life on her own terms.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at a visitation on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Burlington, KY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church in Walton, KY. Rita will be laid to rest at St. John Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
