My little boy

Went outside today.

A baseball held tightly

In his hand to play.

I called to him,

Aaron be careful, have fun.

He turned to me and smiled.

He said my friends are waiting,

Mommy, I’ll be safe,

Don’t worry about me.

Many years passed by

Too quickly

Today when he left me, my

Sweet little boy was a grown man.

I didn’t get to say good-bye,

No hugs, no kisses, no smiles,

No holding his hand in mine.

There are only tears for me this time.

In my sorrow

I heard the sweet voice of Jesus say,

I have your child Aaron with

In Heaven today

My perfect plan to bring him home to stay.

So don’t worry Mommy

He is safe with me

I am his Savior and Best Friend.

He will never be alone.

You will see him smile again

When he holds you in his arms for Eternity.
