Carroll Arlene Sewell

Carroll Arlene Sewell, 78, of Florence, KY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 2, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family at home.

Born on July 31, 1946, in New Bedford, MA, Carroll was a steadfast presence in the lives of those she loved. As a strong-willed and independent woman, she exemplified love and resilience, serving as an inspiring role model for her five children.

Carroll had a passion for puzzles and a deep appreciation for music, but her greatest joy came from sitting on her porch, sharing stories and laughter with family while watching the world go by.

A devoted wife, Carroll was married to Jim Sewell for nearly 52 years until his passing in 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband Jim; her parents, Edd Phillips and Dorothy Travers; her sister, Dorothy Hawks; her brothers, David Rose and Luke Phillips; and her son-in-law, Steve Abbott.

Carroll leaves behind her brothers, Tony Rose and Larry Rose; her children: Diana Abbott, Susan Smith (James), Angela Cress (Matthew), Nancy Blackburn (Doug), and Scott Sewell (Danielle); eight cherished grandchildren: Amber, Corey, Kayla, Lauren, Emily, Matthew, Riley, and Eleanor; and four adored great-grandchildren: Judson, Bentley, Ezra, and Oliver.
