John Longo

John Francis Longo, 86, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. Son of the late John and Catherine Longo from Cranston, RI, John was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a graduate of Brown University. He retired from Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL and had a successful career at Rockwell International in Columbus, OH. John enjoyed travel and a good book and loved to spend time with his loving wife and family. John was preceded in passing by his parents and his brother, Robert Longo (2001). He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Elena Longo of Union, KY; their four children, Susan (Kent) Williamson of Edgewood, KY; Barbara Longo of Cincinnati, OH; Patricia (Jonathan) Warner of Kenton, OH; John D. Longo of Columbus, OH; his brother Charles (Diane) Longo of Seekonk, MA; sister-in-law Beverly Longo of Simsbury, CT; grandchildren, Angela (Monti) Panzica; Christine Williamson (Travis Schnell); James Warner; Daniel Warner. On Saturday, July 25, 2015, visitation will be held at Linnemann Family Funeral Home in Burlington, KY, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM, a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 AM at St. Timothy Church in Union, KY, followed by a burial at St. John’s Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY. Guests are invited to join the family for a lunch reception at 2:30 PM at Linnemann Event Center in Burlington, KY. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice.
