,

Lou and Donna Dahmann and Family

To the Bond Family:
We were so saddened to hear of Jay’s passing.
He taught his popular Archery classes for our Boone County Schools’ Summer Activity Program for many, many years. He was a fan favorite among the administrators, teachers, and students; we all enjoyed his big personality, impressive professionalism, and joyful spirit. He had a smile and a kind word for everyone. The world is a better place because he once walked among us.
We will miss our dear friend greatly.
In Jay’s honor, may we each offer a special prayer for him, and perform one extra act of kindness today in his name.
Our deepest sympathy,
Lou and Donna Dahmann and Family

Big laugh & big heart

I can hear Uncle Jay’s big laugh still. He had a big, kind heart and was always interested in really getting to know how you were and what you were up to. As a young person, there were few people that I felt treated me like being a kid didn’t mean being condescended to. Sending everyone my love. <3

I will miss you cuz

I have so many good memories both from my childhood when J D would take me to the roller rink and teach me to skate, when I was young and he would take me for rides on his bike. When I came to Kentucky for his son’s wedding and he greeted me by coming full speed across the church on his electric wheelchair and taking a corner on 2 wheels. We had many long talks and I loved him like a brother. He always ended our calls with “I. Love you”. I will miss him very much.
