William “Bill” Alexander, 77, of Hebron, KY, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY.  Bill was born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 10, 1946 to the late Henry and Mary (Irvine) Alexander.  He started his career driving double decker buses in Glasgow where he met his wife, Jean. Upon moving to the United States, he worked at TANK as a bus driver and later retired as the Scheduling Director.  Bill enjoyed golfing, going for a walk on a sunny day, having a beer, and supporting the Glasgow Rangers Football Club. Above all, he was a simple man that loved nothing more than spending time with his family.  In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his daughters Heather and Tammy Alexander, and brothers Harry and Christopher Alexander.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years Jean Alexander, daughter Jillean Alexander Hughes (Heath), son Gary Alexander (Alana), grandchildren: Beckett Hughes, Hazel Hughes, Jack Alexander, Abbey Alexander, and Sophie Alexander, and sister Elizabeth Ann Munn.  A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 2pm until 5pm at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, KY.  Memorial contributions can be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society https://www.lls.org
