Onh Phouasavanh

Obituary
Condolences

Onh Phouasavanh, age 72, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024. She was born on March 5, 1952, in Laos.

She was known for her unwavering dedication to her family. As a protector, provider, and giver, Onh selflessly put the needs of others, especially her children, above her own. She fearlessly protected her family while crossing the Mekong river into Thailand – risking her life to save her children and provide a better life for them. Her hardworking nature was evident throughout her life, where she tirelessly nurtured both her family and her beloved garden. Her love for gardening was a reflection of her nurturing spirit.

Onh found joy in the thrill of the casino, often seeking her favorite slot machine for entertainment.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Khamphanh Phouasavanh, her children; Christy (Darrin) Nickrent, Saythong (Jason) Phouasavanh, Saykham (Lee) Phouasavanh, and Bouasa (Barry) Sithideth, and her grandchildren; Ethan Phouasavanh, Liana Phouasavanh, Aiden Sithideth, Draky Phouasavanh, Austin Nickrent, Allison “Lala” Nickrent, and Kristen “Ally” Nickrent.

Onh Phouasavanh will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.

May she rest in peace, surrounded by the gardens she cherished and the love of those who cherished her.

Onh was such a blessing

So sorry to hear about Onh’s passing…she was a pleasure to have as a patient on 5C. We loved having your family with us and know that she was loved so much by everyone that met her. My favorite memory was walking in her room because her bed alarm was going off and she was sitting on the side of the bed doing her leg exercises! She was the cutest. Prayers to your family and friends, may her memories put a smile on your faces.
