Janet Ruth Huesing (nee Stewart), 70, passed away peacefully Monday April 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Jan was born in Alabama on September 11, 1953. She was a loving wife, selfless mother and grandmother, best friend, the best gift giver, and her children’s #1 sports fan. For 37 years she owned and operated Huesing Veterinary Clinic in Erlanger with her husband Dr Barry Huesing. Jan took excellent care of every person in her life, especially her husband of 51 years. She loved to write and was a published poet. She adored animals, especially dogs, and devoted much of her time to the care of her pets. She also loved plants and gardening. She was truly devoted to the care of all living things in her life before herself.
Preceded in death by her parents James and Sylvia Stewart, and brother James Stewart. Survived by her husband Barry Huesing, daughter Laura (Tony) Wray, son Brian (Molly) Huesing, son Matthew (Jill) Huesing, son Marc (Brian Beierle) Huesing, son Stephen (Salena) Huesing, special friends Lori Graham and Julie Warning. Also surviving are grandchildren Morgan, Bree, Ryan, Luke, Shaun, Shepard, Mia, Sylvie, and one more on the way. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday April 26, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm with a funeral service to follow at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, KY. I have just learned of Jan’s death. I am so sorry for your loss. I think you have taken care of my cats and dogs for about 40 years. Jan stayed with me a long time when we had to euthanize my late husband’s dog (Ebony Rose). I was devastated and she took care of me.
