Vincent Lawrence Neal

Vincent Lawrence Neal was born on Friday, March 13, 1959 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois to Luredeen Neal.

He was raised on the Southside of Chicago with his brother Maurice.

He attended Forrestville Elementary School in 1974 and graduated from King High School in June 1978.

While attending King High School Vince start dating June Walker and in March 1978 their beautiful daughter Kimberly Walker was born.

Vince worked at Soft Sheen Product, Inc from 1983 to 1999 as a Pre weight chemical assembler expediter. During Vince’s years of employment he developed Friendships with so many but had Brotherly relationships with Lorenzo, Wayne, Jerome, and Sheretha that has been unwavering.

While employed at Soft Sheen he met and started dating Barbara R. Smith in 1993 and on November 23, 1995 they were married.  Vince was truly a devoted, loving, caring, and supportive husband until he died.

After Soft Sheen Product was sold to L’ORE’AL Vince worked other jobs that included World Kitchen in 2011 with George,  Lloyd, and Charles.

Vince and Barbara moved to Florence Kentucky in March 2013. Vince last job he worked was at L’ORE’AL with Wayne and Jerome.

Vince was a cool laid back Good hearted man who was an avid listener of R&B Classics Old School music and on occasions enjoyed listening to Gospel music with his wife.

Vince favorite past time was watching Sports.   He was a true connoisseur of Football, Basketball, and Baseball.  He was knowledgeable about facts and history of players, coaches, and teams as it related to their profession.  He also enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and other western shows.

During the last years of his life Vince truly enjoyed taking care of Roxie.  He feed, walked, and catered to her every need yes he spoiled her and enjoyed every moments.

Vince departed this life on Thursday January 4, 2024 at 10:20pm.  He was preceded in death by his mother Luredeen Neal.

Vince leaves to cherish his memories:  Wife (Barbara Smith Neal) Daughter (Kimberly) Son in Law (Chris) Three Grandsons ( Kevin, Katrell, and Chris Jr.) Brother (Maurice) Step Daughter (Glenda) Sister in Law (Willie Mims) Brother in Law (Elder Robert J Mims Sr) and a host of Friends.

A visitation will be held for Vince on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 10am until 11am at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. A service will be held immediately following the visitation at 11am at the Funeral Home.
