Dorothy Amelia Ramler
Dorothy Amelia Cram Ramler, 78 of Erlanger passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY. She was born on June 13, 1945, in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Ralph and Olivia Cram.
Known as mother, grandma, great grandma, mimi and friend, Dorothy loved spending time with her family. She was an avid UK and Celtics basketball fan whom you dare didn’t call if a game was on. Dorothy liked to bowl and even play a game of softball in her younger years. Dorothy loved to travel and had been to 47 of the 50 states and was always up for a good adventure. She was also an excellent seamstress and could fix anything when it came to clothing. The love she had for her family was evident by the 100’s of pictures found in her home. Dorothy was a homemaker for many years and worked for Erlanger-Elsmere Schools for several years before retiring. She developed lifelong friendships through her membership of the NKY Red Hat Society. Dorothy will be remembered for her kind heart and the way she always gave to others. For all that had the privilege of knowing and loving her, they will miss her presence beyond measure.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Olivia Cram and loving husband, Ralph Ramler.
Those left here to carry on her legacy are her children, Sheila (Gary) Ramler of Florence, KY, Keith (Tracy) Ramler of Taylor Mill, KY, Monica (Darren) Hensley of Crittenden, KY, Pamela McGlone of Flemingsburg, KY.; grandchildren, Heather Minear, Mathew Lemox, Madison McGlone; great grandchildren, Bristol, Cameron, Julia and Jackson.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Linnemann Funeral Home 30 Commonwealth Ave, Erlanger, KY 41018. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Dorothy will be laid to rest at St. John’s Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
