Mary Louise Wright

Mary Louise Wright (nee Collopy), 94, of Lakeside Park, KY, passed away on September 6, 2023, at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the ultimate matriarch of her family. Always tending to others when they needed help or guidance with a true servant’s heart. Mary was an active and faithful parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs, KY and a 1947 Graduate of Holy Cross High School. The joy of her life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Marie Collopy; her husband, John “Jack” Wright; her siblings, Sr. Andrea Collopy, OSB, Tom Collopy, Jim Collopy, and Ed Collopy; her daughter, Cindy Clarke; and her granddaughter Stephanie Wright.

Mary is survived by her children, Paula (Jim) Volz, Andy (Tom) Hutchins, John (Cathy) Wright, Sue McGovern, Sally Rohlman, Laurie (Tim) Hauger, Mike (Ann) Wright, Jeff (Wilma) Wright; and her siblings, Rita Thaman, Ann Egbers, Claire Herringer, and Martha Collopy; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She also leaves behind her 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 6:00PM at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Erlanger, KY. There will be a reception following mass from 7:00PM-9:00PM at the Sterling Event Center.
