William “Bill” Snider

William “Bill” Snider, 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at St. Elizabeth
Hospital in Edgewood, KY.

Bill was born on December 30, 1928, to the late Louis and Emma Louise Snider in Hammersville,
Ohio. He was a graduate of Norwood High School. He married the love of his life, Joan “Gail”
Snider in 1957, bringing Gail and her daughter Debbie into his life. They began their journey
together and their son Mark was born in 1959. Bill was blessed with two granddaughters
Lindsey and Kristen. His wife, children, and granddaughters were the center of his world.

Bill began his banking career at the age of 17 as a messenger for Central Trust Bank. He was
drafted into the Army during the Korean War for 2 years. He worked in the field of banking for
44 years and retired as a Senior Trust Officer. After retiring he worked as a volunteer for AARP
TaxAid Foundation for 20 years assisting people with their tax returns. For many years Bill was
an important part of Erlanger Christian Church. He was given the title of Elder Emeritus and
Trustee Emeritus. He also served on various committees, as an Auditor, Chairman of the Board
and Worship Leader. His faith and dedication to the church and the Lord was unwavering.

Although he was 94, he was very “tech savvy” with his computer and smart phone. Bill
enjoyed everything about golf, including watching and playing until he was 92. Bill was a man
of God, he led and guided others with his nurturing love, integrity and commitment. He would
always do the right thing, no matter the situation. He was an amazing husband, father, and
“Paka” to his family. Those who had the privilege of knowing and loving this gentle man will
miss his presence beyond measure in the days to come.

Preceding him in death are his parents; loving wife Gail in 2012; brother Lyle Snider and sister
Laverne Newman.

Those left here to carry on his loving legacy are his children; Debbie (Paul) Witte, Mark (Lisa)
Snider; Granddaughters Lindsey Snider and Kristen (Connor) O’Brien.
Memorial donations may be given in Bill’s name to Erlanger Christian Church 27 Graves Ave.,
Erlanger, KY 41018.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Erlanger Christian Church from 10:30
AM till 12:30 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:30 PM at the church. Bill will
be laid to rest by his loving wife at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, KY.
