Linda Dean

Linda Lou Dean, 78, passed away on Thursday June 22, 2023, in Owenton, KY.  Linda was born on September 26, 1944, in Ashland, KY to the late Daniel and Mildred Hermann Finn.

Linda was a graduate of St. Henry High School in Erlanger, KY.  She grew up in Elsmere and Edgewood, KY.  Linda had two wonderful children that she adored.  She worked as an assistant in a chiropractic office before retiring.  Linda enjoyed being at the beach and soaking up the sun.  That was one of her happy places.  She also loved spending her time sitting by the firepit and taking golf cart rides at Perry Park in Owenton. Linda loved her family fiercely and would do anything in the world for them.  She never met a stranger and would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need.  She was a selfless soul who would light up a room with her whit and laughter.  Linda loved to host Sunday Supper and enjoyed cooking for her friends and family.  Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.  All of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving this sweet lady will miss her beyond measure.

Preceding Linda in death are her parents and sister Colleen Finn.

Those left here to carry on her loving legacy are her children, Brandi (Daren) Barhorst, Derek (Lisa) Dean; grandchildren, Brody Barhorst, Brooke Barhorst, Dylan Dean, Lainey Dean, Declan Dean; nieces and nephews, Sherry, Terri, Dan, and Pam; sisters, Pat Hilton, Mickey (Dave) Buttelwerth.

A celebration of life will be held to honor Linda’s life on Wednesday June 28, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Edgewood Senior Center 550 Freedom Park Drive Edgewood, KY 41017.

We will come together at 6:00 to say some prayers and share some memories of this amazing woman that so many loved dearly. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Linda’s name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation 13770 Noel Rd. Suite 801889 Dallas, TX 75380.
