Martha Ann Wells

Martha Ann Wells, 68 of Covington, entered eternal rest on May 30, 2023, after a long battle with kidney cancer. Martha was very active within the parish at St. Augustine Catholic Church. She started a Sunday school program for the church and volunteered weekly at St. Augustine’s School to help with some of the teachers’ responsibilities and especially enjoyed reading to the kids. Martha had also worked for the IRS for over 25 years as a Contact Representative. When the last of Martha’s children were in school, she went back to college to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography. In her free time, she enjoyed photography, painting, and making pottery. Martha also loved spending quality time with her family and loved ones.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Margaret Schulte and siblings: Albert “Bert” Schulte, Mary Lee Budde, and Jack Schulte

Martha is survived by her loving husband of 49 years: Kenton Wells, beloved children: daughter: Christine “Tina” (Michael) Papp, son: Kenton (Susie) Wells, daughter: Julie (Michael) Adkins, son: James Wells, cherished grandchildren: Anna Wells, Molly Wells, Livia Papp and Ella Papp, and siblings: Edward Schulte, Tom Schulte, and Elaine Ledbetter.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 9:30am to 11:00am at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Covington. A Mass of Christian burial will immediately follow at 11:00am. Martha will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center or Center for Autoimmune Liver Disease.
