Jean C. Blick
Jean Carolyn Blick, 89, of Perry Park, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Boonespring Care Center in Union, KY. She was born January 10, 1934 in Covington, KY to the late Ed and Edith Abercrombie. Jean and her late husband, Jim were residents of Perry Park for over 30 years. She was an avid golfer and would spend her winters in Fort Meyers, FL so she could play year-round. She also enjoyed playing tennis, and played in many leagues and tournaments throughout her life. Jean was also a wife; mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she loved her family dearly. She would jump at any chance to bring everyone together. Her husband, James “Jim” Blick had preceded her in death. Jean is survived by her loving children: Steve Blick and Beverly Sturgeon (Tim), her beloved grandchildren: Josh Blick, Stevie Blick (Jennifer), Jeremy Blick (Laura), and April Steinke, and 5 cherished great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held for Jean on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 10am until 11am at Linnemann Funeral Home, 30 Commonwealth Avenue, Erlanger, KY 41018. A service will be held immediately following at 11am at the Funeral Home. Jean will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, KY following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice at 1 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017 in memory of Jean.

Thoughts to my Mom
I want to thank each and everyone of you for being here. Jean Blick must have touched your lives in one way or another. I am grateful she wanted a little girl so bad that they adopted me when no one else
wanted me.
Mom wasn’t the best mom by far…But sometimes she was the “BEST” mom.
I wasn’t the best daughter by a long shot but I have no regrets!
She didn’t give me life but instead taught me how to live it.
Death is but a transition from this life to another existence.
Where there is no more pain and anguish.
All bitterness and disagreement will vanish and the only thing that lives forever is Love.
I think death is a tremendous adventure a gateway into a new life in which you have further
powers, deeper joys and wonderful horizons.
Death is not the end, it is simply walking out of this physical form and into the Spirit Realm, which is our true Home, its just going back Home.
You might be gone from this earth Mommy but now you are in a better place and with Daddy.
I know we will be together again.You will never be forgotten and your Soul will live on in me Forever!
This isn’t Goodbye Mommy just until God calls me Home …All my Love goes with you. Godspeed …

Mrs. Blick was always by the side of her husband Jim who was the best baseball coach I ever had; and an inspiration for my life. They were such wonderful people and I send my condolences to Steve and Bev.
