Jill Brock

Jill Mary Brock (nee: Schilling), 65, of Petersburg, KY passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 in Port Charlotte, FL. She was born May 1, 1956 in Lafayette, IN to the late Cletus William and Mary Gladys Schilling. Jill attended and was a member of the Benton Central High School Class of 1974. Following high school, Jill attended and graduated from Purdue University with a major in Education in 1978. She completed her Masters in Education and her “Rank 1” through Northern Kentucky University. Jill had a passion for teaching, she loved children, and running a classroom brought her true joy. She taught 3 years in Greensburg, IN before moving to Northern Kentucky where she taught the next 27 years at Taylor Mill Elementary. She retired from Taylor Mill Elementary in June of 2011, and became a member of the Retired Teachers of Kentucky. She was also a member of the Purdue Alumni Association. After her retirement from teaching, Jill enjoyed traveling and seeking out unique restaurants and experiences with friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Cletus and Mary Schilling, and her sister: Jeane Rattay. Jill is survived by her loving husband: Richard Brock, her beloved siblings: William Schilling, Kay Jones, and Ann (Dewayne) Rhoads, and many dear nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial visitation will be held for Jill on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. A Celebration of Life service will be held immediately following the visitation at the Funeral Home. Another memorial visitation will be held for Jill on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 205 S Chestnut St, Earl Park, IN 47942. A Memorial Mass will be held immediately following at 11:00 AM at the Church.
