Paul E. Twilling

Paul Edward Twilling, 92, of Burlington, KY passed away January 22, 2022 at Boonespring Care Center in Union, KY. He was born July 12, 1929 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Lewis and Luella (Borgemenke) Twilling. Paul was a 1947 graduate of Elder High School, served his country as a member of the Naval Reserve (1950-1954) and later, proudly served the City of Cincinnati as a Police Officer for 30+ years. Paul attained the rank of Captain in 1971 and worked in a variety of Command Staff positions until his retirement in July of 1986.  During his near 36-year retirement, Paul enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Ahern Twilling, his siblings; Robert Twilling and Mary Appelmann, his granddaughter, Megan Twilling, his great-granddaughter: Parker Ann Wimmel, and his second wife, Pat Alexander Twilling. Paul is survived by his loving children; Teri (Rick) Wilhelm, Barbara (Vic) Boelscher, Paul (Jill) Twilling, Thomas (Teresa) Twilling, and Dan (Jackie) Twilling, his grandchildren; Victor (Joni) Boelscher, Scott (Myra) Boelscher, Chris (Paula) Boelscher, Tricia (Nathan) Weldy, Rev. Eric Boelscher, Ben (Brittany) Boelscher, Jennifer (Ryan) Fowkes, Tara (Mark Wimmel) Twilling, Paul (Brittany) Twilling, Ashley (Alan) Eldridge, Brittany Twilling, Bryan Twilling, Laura (Michael) Brown, Stephen Twilling, Kelsey (Andrew) Marck, Daniel (Diana Ahrman) Twilling, Michael Twilling, and Patrick Twilling, 26 great-grandchildren, his step children; Kevin (Marybeth) Alexander, Donnie (Karen) Alexander, Kym Stellman, and Lorie (Mark) Stottman, 10 step grandchildren, and 10 step great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held for Paul on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held following the visitation at 12:00 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 5876 Veterans Way, Burlington, KY 41005. Paul will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Elder High School “Paul E.
