Lifelong Friend

I first meet Byron when we rented the house next door to the Vance family on Burlington pike while our house in Burlington was being built. Byron an I hit it off right away .we worked together and cruised together. When I moved to Florida we lost touch for a few years but thanks to Facebook we started talking again and everytime Lisa and I would come home to visit we would have lunch and he would get the whole gang together at Papa Dino’s.. RIP My Friend. Prayers to Teresa ,Kevin and the Entire Vance Family!

Vance Family

I have known Byron since I was 20 years old. The very first band I ever sang in was with his dad and David Pugh back in the 70’s. I loved the whole family. We haven’t seen each other in quite a few years but we reconnected on Facebook and stayed in touch that way. I was so sad to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful friend. My heart goes out to his family, Teresa, Kevin, Elizabeth and Caylon who I know he adored. Also, to his siblings I want to send my heartfelt condolences of losing your brother. I will be donating to the Boone County Animal Shelter in Byron’s name. Your all in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Terry (Smith) Gardiner

Classmate and friend.

I first met Byron in elementary school. After graduating I would run into him at car shows, stores and restaurants around the area. He would wave me down from across the room. Always had a smile and a great conversation ready at all times. I was very saddened to hear about this loss. I live in Gulf Shores now but always seemed to run into him at least once every time we were visiting. It’s going to be strange knowing that I won’t run into him around there again. My condolences and prayers for all his family and friends.

Heaven has gained an Angel

I met Bryon when I worked at Suburban Chevrolet and then later on my parents had a place with his parents to square dance and play music in Burlington. Bryon was always so funny and made me laugh every time he came in the parts department. Then later on I found out my sister in-law Raylene and her husband Steve became good friends with him and his wife. It had been years since I saw Bryon and then my niece Tiffany had her birthday party and him and his wife were there and we got to meet again. It was a pleasure to see him again and meet his wife. I was saddened to hear that he had passed when Raylene called to let us know. My heart goes out to his wife and family. He was definitely someone you won’t forget. Heaven has gained another angel. Heartfelt sympathy to all of you. Sue (Morris) Watkins

Friend of a Lifetime

Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for losing such a dear, close friend. Byron touched so many in his special way. How he could give kind words and mix them with a put down always made you laugh. I don’t think I have ever known such a kind, caring, devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend as he was. He was more than a friend to me. He was family as well as Kevin and Teresa. I am privileged and honored to call him my friend, and consider his family as my family. He’ll always hold a special place in my heart. I loved that friend and will miss him dearly.
