Gary Kruskamp

Gary Wayne Kruskamp, 74, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY surrounded by family. He worked as a Computer Programmer and Systems Analyst with R.L. Polk & Company for many years and was an Army Veteran. However, his most meaningful role in life was that of a father and grandfather. Gary loved his family more than anything in this world. He was a kind and compassionate dad who conveyed often that hugs are more important to children than punishments. An ever-present and dedicated father, he would drop anything to be there for his kids when needed, whether to help with house or car trouble, take care of pets, or babysit last-minute. No matter what the problem, you could always count on Gary to help. He enjoyed nothing more than being around his grandkids who were a constant source of joy in his life. He was a caring and generous soul who would be a ‘dad’ to anyone. He innately loved and accepted people for who they are without judgment – a true testament to his selfless nature.

He is preceded in death by father Edward Kruskamp, mother Leoria Kruskamp, brothers Jack Kruskamp, Larry Kruskamp, and sister Betty Kruskamp. Survivors include his son Jon (Heather) Kruskamp, daughter Kristina (Dan) Kruskamp, daughter Erika (Matt) Woods, son Kelton (Adrianne) Kruskamp, son Keenan (Jennifer) Kruskamp, daughter Kelita (Carl) Gentry, Nikita Wagers, sisters Sharlyn Morgan, Vicki Compton and brother Kevin Kruskamp. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, November 19, 2021, from 10am to 11am with funeral services to follow at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger KY.
