Frances H. Arens

Obituary
Condolences

Frances Helen Arens, 89, of Erlanger, KY passed away on September 1, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Facility in Edgewood, KY. Frances was a beloved teacher her entire adult life. Many of her students remained in contact with her. She was an avid sports fan – golf, baseball, football, basketball – and enjoyed watching games at all levels of competition. Every visitor was always asked about their family, children, job or other interests. Her faith and family were her guiding principles. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Mary Arens, her six sisters and five brothers-in-law, Margaret (Frank) Wood, Dorothy (Bernard) Bruegge, Julia (Nello) Isabelli, Joan (Jack) Dressman, Rose (Jim) Doud and Therese Moore. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Philip Moore, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. A visitation will be held for Frances on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at St. Henry Church, 3813 Dixie Highway, Elsmere, KY 41018. Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following the visitation at 10:00 AM at the Church. Frances will be laid to rest at Mother of God Cemetery in Latonia, KY following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Purcell Marion Catholic High School at 2935 Hackberry Street, Cincinnati, OH 45206 or to Bishop Brossert High School at 4 Grove Street, Alexandria, KY 41001. phenomenal teacher/woman

She was my high school business teacher. Always smiling, faithful, generous. Her teachings guided me to my first job which led me into my career. Forever grateful for her impact on me. You were my best teacher. Rest in heaven Ms Arens. (Terri Rush Meagher Marian ‘79)

Good Friend

Fran was a good friend from my time at Purcell Marian High School. After the merger, she volunteered to keep score for the varsity baseball team. She was a great addition to the program. Fran was an asset to the team as well as the Purcell Marian family.

Friendship message

I soo enjoyed being with Frances. She was great to talk to. I admired her devotion to her faith& loyalty to Purcell Marian & St. Henry’s. The prayer group will miss her immensely.
