Barbara Ann Perry

Barbara Ann Perry, 94, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2020.  Barbara was born in Elsmere, KY on September 14, 1926 to the late Henry and Barbara Anne (Dues) Harms.  Barbara was a homemaker and server in her younger years, and later in life enjoyed many rewarding years working as a bus aide on a special education school bus.

She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Perry, son Paul McCarthy III, and her 11 siblings.  Barbara is survived by her children Barbara A. McCarthy, Paulette “Dee” Prather (Joe), and Robert “Bobby” Perry, grandchildren: Allen Griest (Lia), Angel Sarian (Bedros), Donnie Paul Martin (Elizabeth), Brandon Perry (Terena), and Jennifer Perry, and great grandchildren: Luke, Landin, Aiden, Emorye, Sadye, Xavier, and Blaine, and many extended family members.

She is cherished by many family members, and friends whom she always made feel like family.  Everyone was welcome at “Mamaw’s” house, for a meal or a much needed nap on her couches.  She was a good ear to us all, and was willing to share the tough love she grew up with.  Her wittiness and quick replies were with with her to the end, along with her heartwarming smile.  Her remaining days were blessed by family visits, and she was so proud to see the youngest members of the family.  She lived for her family, and enjoyed them to her final sleep.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 10am to 12pm at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, KY.  A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation.  Interment will be at Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery in Florence, KY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Bean Bash, Inc(special needs charity), ATTN: Bev, 5719 Limaburg Rd, Burlington, KY 41005, and Bluegrass Care Navigators(hospice), 51 Cavalier Blvd. suite 200 Florence, KY 41042
